My name is Christina Savage and this is my fourth year as a School Counselor here at RES. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, I earned a Bachelors of Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Temple University in 2000. After becoming a military spouse, I moved to Michigan where I began working with military families. I moved to North Carolina in 2003 and I have 14+ years of experience in working with military children from birth to post-secondary grade levels. 12 years after earning my Bachelors degree, I decided to pursue a graduate degree in education. I earned a Masters of Education in Guidance & Counseling from American Public University in 2015 where I graduated with honors. I enjoy helping students achieve their academic, personal/social, and college/career goals. The world of education is always changing and it is very rewarding. I look forward to many more years of working with children and I know this will be a great school year! Home-life... I have two wonderful daughters. Chyra is a student at NC State (Class of 2020) and Jordynn is in high school.. In my free time I love to "pin" things on Pinterest and I love crafts, especially sewing. My favorite football team is the Philadelphia Eagles and yes I love to eat Philly Cheese-steaks. I truly believe collaboration between the counselor and parents/teachers/administration is the most effective way to ensure student success. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any concerns!
